Desktop app

Test on your own machine today. The desktop app comes next.

The free CLI already tests websites, Android, CLI tools and Electron apps on your machine, including localhost.

The Optestra desktop app is on its way. Get one email when it ships.

What you can do today

  • Use the cloud web app. Start free: nothing to install, with a free monthly allowance.
  • Test on your own machine with the CLI. Websites, Android apps, CLI tools (with version comparison) and Electron apps, free and unlimited, with results shown in your dashboard if you like. Native desktop apps are coming, on your own machine.
  • Build the open-source engine from source. The engine and its CLI work today on any system with Node 24, with unlimited local runs and your own AI key: get the repository and follow the five-minute quickstart. Tests you write now keep working in the app.
  • Run in your own CI. The open GitHub Action replays your tests on your own runners, free.

The plan is for the desktop app's source to be open for anyone who builds it themselves; how it is sold will be announced with it. It will check for updates a few hours apart, sending only its version, the operating system and the processor type, and you can turn that off.
