Optestra vs Momentic
A strong AI testing platform with a cloud step cache, visual diffs and mobile, priced in credits per step; ours replays from files in your repo and exports to Playwright.
The short answer
Pick Momentic if you need visual regression, network mocking or iOS today. Pick Optestra if you want the replay data in your repo, a flat price per run, and plain Playwright specs to leave with.
Migrate my first 10 testsWho Momentic is for
Momentic is an AI testing platform with YAML tests in your repo, a step cache, auto-healing, visual diffs, network mocking and iOS and Android. It suits teams who want a mature hosted product with a free tier.
What's different
- Both keep tests in your repo. Momentic's step cache is stored in their cloud and expires 14 days after it was last saved; our recording is a committed file with no expiry.
- Momentic prices in credits per step (1 for a normal step, 2 for an AI-generated or recovery step, plus per-minute credits for browsers and emulators); ours prices a run, not a step, and a replay has no AI step at all.
- Momentic has visual regression, network mocking and iOS; we don't yet.
